Question 1

How often should I change filters and schedule HVAC maintenance in Louisiana?

Accepted Answer

Check the filter monthly during Slidell’s long cooling season and replace it when it is loaded or at the filter manufacturer’s interval; homes with pets, construction dust, or high occupancy may need more frequent changes. Seasonal maintenance before the heavy cooling stretch and an annual inspection help catch airflow, drainage, electrical, and humidity issues before they become a hot-weather outage. Keep the manufacturer’s requirements and your home’s actual conditions in the decision.

Question 2

What does a diagnostic visit examine, and what will I receive afterward?

Accepted Answer

A diagnostic visit starts with what the system is doing and checks the parts that help explain it, including the supply-air temperature split, refrigerant charge, and capacitor. The findings are documented so you can understand the problem and the next step. If work is recommended, the repair scope and price are quoted on site before work starts.

Question 3

What HVAC symptoms should prompt a diagnostics or repair request?

Accepted Answer

Request a diagnostic when the system is not cooling, one area stays uncomfortable, the equipment cycles unusually, or you notice a leak, unusual noise, or an electrical concern. Share when the symptom started and what you have already observed. That context helps the team begin with the right questions; do not open electrical panels or keep running equipment that smells burned or appears unsafe.

Question 4

How do I know whether to repair my system or replace it?

Accepted Answer

The decision depends on equipment age and condition, the pattern and cost of recent repairs, efficiency, comfort, and whether the system can manage Louisiana humidity. A replacement should be right-sized for the home—not simply matched to the old unit—and a clear quote should explain equipment, scope, permits, and commissioning. Ask how airflow, ductwork, drainage, and humidity control will be checked, not just which tonnage or efficiency number is being sold.

Question 5

What should I do if a storm or flood may have damaged my HVAC system?

Accepted Answer

If floodwater reached the equipment, there is electrical damage, you smell gas, or you see a refrigerant concern, keep the system off and move away from unsafe equipment. Do not power it back on to test it. If it is safe to do so, document the visible condition for your records and request an inspection; a post-storm check can identify electrical, condensate, coil, and outdoor-unit damage before a restart creates a larger problem.

Question 6

Which communities do you serve?

Accepted Answer

Our published location coverage is Slidell, with Lakeshore Villages as the featured neighborhood and nearby homes as the surrounding service area. Check the service-area hub before sending a request.

Question 7

What happens after I submit a service request?

Accepted Answer

Use the request form on the home page to tell us what the system is doing, where you are located, and what timing or safety details matter. Routine requests receive a response within one business day. The form starts the conversation; it does not promise an arrival time, price, or coverage decision before the team reviews the details.
